The Lewis College continues its firm commitment to faculty development and academic excellence as we celebrate the successful completion of advanced degrees by our very own faculty and staff through the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Scholarship for Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP)!

On September 29, 2026, TLC proudly participated in the SIKAP Recognition Rites held at the La Piazza Hotel and Convention Center in Legazpi City. Anchored on the theme “Rooted in Fortitude, Shaped by Resilience: Celebrating the Journey of Advanced Learning,” the event gathered DHEIs, Sending Higher Education Institutions (SHEIs), scholar-awardees, and CHED officials to honor the dedication and perseverance of educators pursuing higher learning.

Our Proud SIKAP Scholar-Awardees:

• Mr. Normuel E. Domalaon – Instructor and Program Coordinator, College of Teacher Education (Batch 1)

Master of Arts in Education Major in English

• Ms. Riza Ellen L. Dogello – HED Registrar (Batch 2)

Master of Arts in Management major in Public Administration

Representing the institution alongside our awardees was Dr. Gerry A. Carretero, the Dean of the College of Teacher Education.

Mr. Domalaon was privileged to be selected by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region V to deliver the Testimonial Speech on behalf of all master’s degree scholar-graduates across the region. Chosen for his outstanding record and extensive involvement with the commission, he shared his academic and professional journey to inspire fellow educators.
